GS and Cartier should not be in the same sentence! Of course that being IMHO. The reason for me having a GS is completely different for reasons for me to consider having a Cartier. Would I want a Cartier to have a Spring Drive movement? Hell no! Would I want GS to produce a Santos esq model. Hell no! Should I expect a Cartier to have Ziratsu mirror mirror polishing and should I expect a GS to have Roman numerals on the dial guilloche in nature with Grand Seiko instead of Cartier written in the same way on the VII numeral - hell no as that is sacrilege! Brands have their own identity based on the distinction they initially made from the outside. Deviate from that, one runs the risk of losing that identity. Different strokes for different folks!
