Love my watch, haters suck
Found the YouTube channel yesterday and liked the idea of this forum.
I got myself this watch as a pretty special trophy for some personal accomplishments. Did what many probably have done…went to put my name on a mystery waiting list for a Rolex, but once I saw this thing, I just couldn’t take my eyes off of it. Naturally I became obsessed and read whatever I could find about it after the fact, just to take it all in, and it was beyond annoying to see all of the hate people put out there for no good reason.
Many probably do so simply because they either can’t or won’t spend the money, which is somewhat ironic to me because for non watch nerds, this flies pretty well under the radar as an expensive piece.
I’m a big believer in everyone liking what they like and feeling good about it - I mean come on, I’ve got a DMB concert pic on my profile - the best!
I’m just getting back into wearing watches again and can’t wait to go get a G-Shock Mudmaster next! Looking forward to posting more and checking out everyone’s cool stuff!

Hi - Thanks, and yes, that’s the one! I never had titanium before…it’s SO light. Carbon fiber dial looks 3D sometimes, black or grey other times, and even somewhat blue in sunlight.

You‘re right about this flying under the radar for most. IWC does some of the best chronos but their material use is really unique. You could have done worse.

Curious, I didn't read up too much on this watch, what was the hate about if you don't mind elaborating?
It looks absolutely wonderful and titanium + carbon fibre sounds super fun to wear.

Like most of us, I spend a long time looking at watches! Something about this watch really grabs me. Have been looking for a chronograph for some time now and this ticks every box, apart from the box that most fail to tick, in that it looks to big for me.

congrats! looks great in photos and I am sure it looks even better in the flesh. the carbon fiber dial looks amazing and love the contrasting sub dials. That’s the thing about IWC, you have to see the real watch to truely appreciate its beauty.
heres my tribute to 3705 in ceratanium. Again, it looks much better on the wrist.

Welcome new Cruncher! 😆 That's a nice watch. The colors of the dial, strap, and hands are a handsome match. Don't worry about haters here. Myself I wear and post anything. I don't care if it's cheap or expensive, I wear it and post it. As long as I like it that's what matters. I have posted expensive watches and cheap watches and have never been bad mouthed about any of them. The only thing I could take negative but don't is when I post on WRUW. I will get the "oh wow" face. It could mean "Oh wow I can't believe you're wearing that." or "Oh wow I want one." LOL I don't know what they mean but I don't care. Wear it, post it, you're good on here. Again I love the watch and welcome to the Crunch.

If people give you grief over your IWC then they are muppets. Triple word score if they are wearing a Seiko or Tudor when doing so.
