I don't like stars on the dial

Why? Because it makes me think of GTA "oh crap SWAT teams are moving in"

Can watch brands stop doing this?!

I in other hand absolutely love stars to the point I wish more watch brands added them to their dials! 🥰

·

I absolutely agree. That has turned me off on this mark since they introduced them. Would consider if not for the stars on the dial. Just looks cheap

Yeah otherwise zulu time will be mine next... The green one with leather strap is tasty, but those stars make me go 🤔🤔🤔

Wear it like you stole it

It reminds me of a yelp review.

Ahem, Michelin rating.

·

Longines takes “fake reviews” to the next level…cmon 5 stars?! 😝 I love the GTA comparison 😂🤙

·

I can never remember the General rankings either. I think one is Brigadier?

…or perhaps each star denotes a brand Longines wants to take down (Red Baron style): Zenith, IWC, Breitling, Laco, Islander (wtf!) 😂😂😂

·

I 100% agree. The way they present the stars reminds me of cheap/really bad hotels we see in any downtown or close to airports.

Wear it like you stole it

"wear it like you "robbed" it"

Fixed it for you XDDDD

Great comments so far, also it made me think of a certain brand bragging about "Superlative Chronometer" like one upping a regular chronometer, I want my dial CLEAN!

·

No modern Longine’s did anything for me until they started doing this. I kind of like it aesthetically.

In terms of what it means, it is a little goofy. Do they make lesser star models? It’s their version of the self aggrandizing “Trail Rated” which literally means nothing.

·

I never liked it until you just gave me the GTA comparison. Now I feel like I want one. Like I want to steal one….

·

I have them and I like them. If I didn’t have them I wouldn’t miss them. 🙂

·

SWAT teams probably use gshock

·

Longines are using stars for that cultivation tier progress. Long - 1, Longin - 3, Longines - 5 and then probably Longinest at 7

Shinji, wear Longines while you crank that Soulja Boy

Unless You are Brazilian then it is perfecto, stars in the rest of the Word are very important , they are world cup titles. Few countries have stars.

·

This would be the perfect watch for an Englisman or Spaniard. One Star. Any watches out there with two stars , i am French.

·

I can't agree here, they stand out so little on the dial as to hardly ever be seen. There's three gold hands, 11 glinting gold indicies and the winged hourglass logo on the dial to be looking at, the stars hardly register.
