Except apart from the Sub, and even then it's debatable, the other watches are "Rolex designs", they are bog standard watches... Watches with three hands and indexes existed before Rolex was super popular.
The Sub is based on a Blancpain, based on a military request. It's like claiming Hamilton invented the field watch.
I have the same model of C63, and I came to the same conclusions shortly after it arrived.
Yes there are differences in build between a C63 and an AT or DJ, but to me they aren't worth the several thousand dollars more that Omega and Rolex charge.
As someone who needs a watch for work, I'd say it's quite possible to live with only one watch.
I managed to get by for the first 8 years of adult life with a Timex Atlantis. After that I had a Citizen Eco-drive for nicer occasions for the next 10 or so years.
Based on my experience, I think most people would be quite content with a daily watch, and a "nice" watch for special occasions.
I'd lean more toward the Vaer DS5 Pacific, it's a fun watch that might not be a first pick, but isn't too wild.
Then again, most of my watches are boring black dials, so take my advice with a grain(pound) of salt.
They are made for bored rich people who view the world differently. None of us are the target audience, and I suspect if every person on Watch Crunch never bought another luxury watch, the industry wouldn't notice.
