On the bench today this abandoned vintage Seiko diver quartz model 7548.
Has suffered from the leaking battery in the past which has resulted in it becoming a parts repair job.
Someone else has had a go at it but gave up probably after finding to many issues and no spare parts available.
Unfortunately the dial has battery acid damage around the outer edges and on some of the hour makers but luckily the text is unaffected.
Quite a few parts are needed and the date wheel binds up.
Lets see whether it’s worth saving or back to the parts bin. Parts needed laid out in top photo.
Just deciding whether to restore a set of original hands or go new aftermarket.
I see it as being a good daily wearer that you won’t worry about knocking around.
Restoration updates to follow.
