Vintage Seiko Diver 6309 Service Complete

Full service restoration completed on this lovely 1977 Diver.

The only item changed was the crystal which was quite badly scratched up the replacement crystal is a Seiko period correct crystal.

The dial date stamp confirms this is original to this watch also.

Next project coming up a 1981 Pepsi quartz diver which needs a bit of cosmetic work.

Mate you are the Seiko Master and I still think Seiko should make you their Kiwi ambassador.

All your restorations turn out great and there must be a lot of happy Kiwi Seiko fan boys over there once they get their watches back from you. When I pick up a Seiko Diver, I'm actually after a Quartz version at the moment, that needs a bit of TLC, mate I'll be sending it over the pond to you 💯

Any time mate be glad to help out. Thanks for your kind words and support. Keep well over the ditch. Next one on the bench is a Quartz 7548.

Mate you're more than welcome and you deserve the recognition for the fine restorations you do, I'm just glad you share them here on WC, so we should be thanking you 💯

I don't know why, but I just want a good Seiko Quartz diver in the collection, I have an original SKX009 that I've replaced the crystal with a OEM part and also managed to find in Australia a OEM bracelet, but for some reason I want one of their Quartz divers. There seem to be a few around in decent condition, it's just a matter of finding the right one at the right price, of course.

Look forward to the next resto buddy 👍

how suspicious I’ve become if the bezel insert doesn’t have enough wear and tear 😅 this one is great 👍

Nice! I have my first pile of 6309’s incoming tomorrow so I’m loving the pics you’re posting.
