I'm betting another strap will help the overall look. As mentioned, the matching red strap works and is of good quality. But, it's maybe too much matchy red.. I can do that look, but, not one I would do as often. I've got something on order and another 2 in mind I plan to order, as well. Since 20mm l2l, I have several potential strap options I already own that will be worth trying. I'll be sure to share what a strap combo difference can make in upcoming posts with this watch.
I think safe choices might be blue, grey, white, black and brown. Because the dial on those cocktail times are usually textured and the main attraction, I'd probably keep the strap options plain and simple as to not make overall look too busy and detract attention away from the dial. You don't want to wear plaid and pinstripes together, if you y know what I mean? If a strap's texture and colors are subtle enough, it may be alright. If so, maybe you might find something interesting from Strapsuits.
To casual it down further, idk if you like NATOs, but, if you do, I'd do one with seatbelt material build. They usually have a sheen to them and smoothness that can match with a dressier style watch better, inho.
I'd direct you to find my Longines Legend Diver 39 Blue posts for 2 examples on a blue and grey NATO-style strap from Haveston's Parade Series. They have that seatbelt look and finish. Sure, the LLD39 is a dive watch. But, many consider it a dress diver and something about the look and finishing does lend towards an upscale dressier look for a dive watch
This is it for now. I used to own a diver. Was my favorite watch and first luxury watch I bought for myself back in mid/late 1995. Was my main watch for over 12 years.
I did have an Aquaracer Solargraph Titanium. I actually like that watch quite a lot. See my past posts on that one, especially on the custom strap I had made for it from Delugs.
I like the new Carrera Glassboxes.. close to getting one. But, I thought back to this one from a few years ago and always liked and wanted one. So, I decided to get the Carrera Montreal first. The glassboxes will be around for a while.
I would like an Autavia, too. I would get an older model as I don't like the newest ones. They would do well to bring back some of the older Autavia chronographs. Wouldn't mind seeing a new Autavia gmt chronograph with the Pepsi bezel.
