Probably my best watch to wear on Memorial Day

Late posting for Memorial Day, but, this what I got on today would have worked well for it. My Vertex M100A on a Haveston M-1936-B A2 Service Series Strap.

Thanks. Both products I can highly recommend for great quality and design.

Great option for a Dirty Dozen style watch. I keep going back and forth between this and the Timor.

I considered the Timor, the only other original Dirty Dozen mfgs that still make a Dirty Dozen style watch. It's pretty authentic looking and scale, costs considerably less, and has a couple other goodies with it..namely maybe some extras that give the watch a little more meaning and context. Additionally, they make an off-white dial version, I think it's maybe an engineer's version.. I forget the story, but, it's on their website the other dial/color variation.

Anyways, I ultimately still went with the Vertex. I have had 36mm watches.. I can wear them, but, admittedly, they feel a bit dainty, especially since they usually come on 18mm straps.

Also, the Timor, as with some other D12 homages out there, almost went for the one from Vaer. They all just seemed a tad plain to me, and the more petite size didn't help with making a visual impact for me.

Idk? Maybe that's something you're looking more for in terms of the plain jane no nonsense classic field watch design. I couldn't do it.

That's why I like Vertex's take on it. It looks a lot the way they made them back in WW2. However, they modernized the scale and build and just the quality and details on the dial, especially those 3D Arabic lume blocks, really make a huge visual impact, especially in person.
