"Extra" time to indulge in many hobbies, I do not. But, at least I have this...

TGIF! Though, I still got work on Sat. Oh, well... I'm just glad one of my favorite hobbies I can always enjoy anytime & anywhere cause it's almost always on my wrist. As such, I've been enjoying my Serica 5303-1 back in rotation on an Admiralty Grey Ribbed NATO Strap from Cheapestnatostraps. I definitely like this combination and pairing.

I'm pretty much into diving watches but I've not seen this manufacturer before, definitely piqued my interest. Another to add to ever expanding wish list.

As I've said it before, this will be last one about once or twice every month or two for the past 5 years or so. I find it's best to just think of it as the glass is always half full.

Great pairing! I am considering to buy a Serica too

Thanks. It's definitely one of my favorite watches I currently own. So far, the movement has been pretty solid, too.

Out of 188 measurements since I got it late last year, it has an average deviation of +0.60 s/d.

I see you may be questioning the Soprod Newton movement. It's actually been in development for several years. Here's a link with a little more info about the movement. There are 2 offerings ss u will see. Top Flight is the best and that's what Serica is using.

Here's another source to cross reference information about the movement.

As such, it appears to be a very solid movement of is own design.

Thanks! Indeed I’m both intrigued and concerned about the movement. Serica say it has been regulated within COSC specs which sounds very good on paper. Great to hear from Ann actual owner that the watch is great! I’ll give the 5303 a serious think. 👍🏼
