Just came in straight from Japan!!!
Since I was 10 years old I've wanted this watch, but my parents said it was "too expensive and unnecessary." I just happened to see this watch pop up in one of my favorite comedic music videos, so I had to get it. It's been 20 years, but I finally got it... and I love it!!!

I would have to assume the OP is referencing the beginning of a video where a duo is released from jail and one's Casio reminds him of (timely!) Mother's Day. When I first saw that video, well first noticed the brief watch shot, I went in search on one too but I lacked the perseverance when I realized they were not plentiful or inexpensive.
