Total steal: Longines Présence Heritage
It‘s very painful for me when I come across a reference that I think is ridiculous value but there is no spot for it in my collection. So I’ll share them here.
A few weeks ago, Longines came out with their 190th anniversary watches. One of them was a 40mm dress watch made with 18K pink gold priced at $12,000 USD.
It’s very elegant and received a lot of buzz, but I scratched my head as to why anybody would buy that instead of this model: the Longines Présence Heritage.
It’s 38.5mm with dressier proportions, 18k pink gold case, Breguet hands, beautiful markers, and small seconds (if you’re into that). And all for ~$2500 brand new!!! 18k pink gold under $8k is just unheard of. Everything under that price point is usually PVD or plated. You could probably melt this thing and sell it for a profit.
