Incoming - Casio GBD-200 - My First G Shock

I’m slimming down my watch collection to some easy to manage classics (Cartier Tank, GS 9F etc.)

However - I needed a running watch.

In the past I’ve used Apple Watch but would like to keep it a bit more simple.

Enter the GBD-200 in fetching neon colour way.

Does anyone have experience of this / tips?

I’m tempted to get one of these as well, but I want the blue JDM version, I might pull the trigger if I can track my walk/run miles properly with the casio app… saw a review on it, I should re-read his review before I pull the trigger …

found the review…

All I see myself using on this are the time functions and tracking runs. Will definitely turn off notifications etc.

I hope that the run tracking is accurate enough - there is mention that it calibrates itself via your smartphone - that would be good. I don’t need perfection but let’s say 5% error (did I run 5km or 10km!)

I agree, it’s pretty much what I’m going to use it for as well. I have an Apple Watch and Fitbit already. I asked the guy that reviewed it on how the tracking works…

Ok so little first impressions..

looks great, feels great, screen lovely.

all the time functions etc good and easy to use.

the running function - I’ve got it set to have GPS and ”learn” - I tried it on a couple of short walks. The first one it’s distance measurement was about 15% out. the second one it was only 2% out. so hopefully it’s learning!
