This is the watch I bought to replace the Nighthawk, and I have to say, it really suits my tastes. First off, that is one stunning blue dial. The watch itself is elegant and very well laid out, but that dial... it definitely isn't subtle. To me, it looks like the great barrier reef, and I like it very much. It's also the first watch that I have with a 4 Hz beat rate, which probably doesn't mean much, but it's still nice to have and look at.ย
I can't really complain about this Miyota's rotor noise, maybe my hearing is going bad. What I can complain about is that while it does have AR coated sapphire, it's still exceedingly reflective. Also, why does the watch have a lug width of 19mm? But other than my nitpicking, it's a fascinating watch that I'm thrilled to have in my collection.ย

That's quite the replacement. Incredible dial.
Beautiful watch, I find a number of my better Citizenโs with sapphire and AR are still pretty reflective. It doesnโt affect daily use much, although the overall watches seem โshinierโ than others. it does make them a bit harder to photograph well, but you posted a good shot.
What a looker! This one is on my short list.
I hate this watch looks like shit!!
I kidโฆI kidโฆ

That watch is a stunner. Congrats!

I knew you were kidding from those first 4 words... I saw your comment on the post where everyone was showing off their blue watches ๐
I think everyone on that thread saw your 16 blue watches (yes, I counted).

These are so beautiful ๐ฅฐ 38 or 40? Can't remember..
Beautiful watch, enjoy it!

These are 38.2 mm, but the rather large lugs bring the lug to lug to 46 mm.
Beautiful dial, makes me want one.
Oh yeah, these were the ones I mentioned to you. I like that the dial isn't a dark blue, but more of an ocean blue / teal colour. If Citizen made these with a quartz version, I'd have bought one for my dad.

Those are pretty long lugs... My blue Explorient is also 38mm, but the L2L is 44mm long, a much more reasonable proportion.ย
Iโve been looking at this same one. Not sure if/when Iโll get it though. Might wait to see if I can get a good deal on a pre-owned one down the road.
Nice Dial
Been coveting this piece for awhile and may have to take the plunge. The dial is stunning, Citizen really upped their game here.
