NATO Strap Alternate Way to Wear

I like to have the strap buckle at the middle of my inner wrist. To get this, the loop is towards me, which is "opposite" to how people normally wear a NATO (loop away from the wearer).

Feels better to me because the usual way, the buckle ends up at the very edge of my wrist, and it feels very strange there.

The way I wear it, it is a goatee, I suppose
