Proposed mods for Casio Duro
Just picked up this blue Duro and I’m thinking about some mods. I already have a sapphire crystal with date magnifier to replace the mineral crystal.
I’ve hydro-modded other Duros and although it looks great, I don’t think I’m doing that again. (I have an oil-filled MRW-200H).
I’m thinking of the various mods with the hands and the bezel insert. I also have a Planet Ocean type orange bezel coming as well.
Here are some versions I’m mulling over.
Some of the hands I just laid on top of the crystal to get a visual. I did a rough paint job on the hands and chapter ring just to get an idea as well.

Not my cup of tea, but hey we are all different. I have modded my Duro with sapphire and that makes a huge difference. Great thing about mods if they don't work in the long run you can change them back.
If you are already doing the bezel orange, I wouldn't go much further than changing the second hand orange as well. If you do the entire handset, it might be too much.
IMO I would mask the second hand and only paint the pointer tip / lower 3rd orange, like the red part on the regular black Duro.

I agree. The more I look at the various versions, I think just an orange second hand and a blue or black horween racing strap with orange stitching might be the way to go.

I may leave it on this strap and go with modding only the sweeping hand with this model

Looks like a curved end to the strap, it looks great btw. One of the problems with the Duro is the small date window, I just got ordinary sapphire, I wish I had got yours !
