Seiko Alpinist Sarb017

This was my first watch which I received as a present for my 21st birthday. I have owned it for more than 2 years now. The high polish bezel is a scratch magnet. The Seiko Alpinist is my favourite watch in my collection and I cannot help getting lost in the green and gold dial. Seiko are very good at making amazing coloured dials. Anyone have any suggestions on straps that would suit this watch?

I think for rugged look, you can go with 2 pieces canvas strap. But if you like classy feeling, I personally will go with a croco strap. For versatility, crazy horse strap will look amazing as well.

Basically SARB017 is a strap killer!

For this type of watch I will put a flexible beige nubuck strap.

·

Dark red leather strap will make it pop.

First is a mustard ribbed cheapestnatostrap, second a Miltat bracelet from Strapcode and the third one is NDC original strap. I'd also suggest, not pictured, Colareb firenze in brown.

Retro brown leather is a great look.

I think it depends on how you're planning to use your watch.  If it's not going to get wet, you can't beat the look of brown calf leather (a la @cktessier above).

I tend to treat my sarb017 as the ultimate adventure watch (which it handles with style and grace 😎), and so put it on a Barton canvas strap.

Honestly, I would buy some Capecod polishing fabrics for the bezel, works great.
I also would consider a bracelet.

As for the strap option, I think textured nubuck leather suits the green of the dial really well.

Wow that is a very different look! It works really well.

The silver and gold definitely makes this watch wear more expensive!

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! I will take them all into account when I come to buying a new strap 😁

Here's mine on a green croc strap if I want to dress it up a bit. But IMO, the sarb017 looks best on an oyster style bracelet.

Yes, what about this?
