It’s giant, it’s thick, it’s heavy and it’s a little bit uncomfortable to wear but I love it. What was your first watch that you bought for yourself?

The first watch I ever bought myself was just this cheap piece of junk with a pressed clasp and folded links. To be fair, I was 13 at the time, and it seemed impressive to me.
Bought that Komono Winston with one of my first full time salaries. Overpriced cheap fashion quartz watch, really. The case was painted brass so it got kind of “bubbly” through the many years I wore it, I reckon between 2014 and 2020. Mineral crystal that acquired plenty of scratches. The strap was the real weak spot, and it was asking for a change already in 2018. I really liked it back then and hey, it was during my research to replace that piece that I started my Journey. So kudos to it.
EDIT: I’m honestly surprised that they still manufacture that exact model, probably with exactly the same specs.
