What is everyone's ultimate GADA watch?

Just curious to see what everyone will put.  There are so many watches out there it is always impressive seeing what this group comes up with.  I'm going to be somewhat "realistic" about what I can afford.  Feel free to play with your imaginary money any way you like for this one.    For me right now it is the Omega AT Small Seconds Ref # 220.12.41.21.03.005.

Rolex Explorer. Any iteration although for "GADA" I think the modern edition would be best. Clean dial, legible, and damn good looking

The Omega AT is a great choice, for me it’s probably my IWC Mk XVI on an Isoswiss Skinskan alligator embossed rubber strap which has a few similarities.

Very new here but is GADA go anywhere do anything? If so I think my G-shock steel works as it looks okay in a social setting but can take a beating.

If I’m wrong just ignore the newbie. 😉

This is a topic that has been swirling around my head for a while. One of my personal needs is to have a watch dial that complements what I am wearing, and to me that means that I mustn't have a blue dial when I am wearing a black/ grey colour scheme, and a black dial when I am wearing a blue colour scheme. As a result my choices are limited to white, silver, champagne, or green dials. I respect anyone that is happy to mix these colour schemes, it just doesn't work for me.

The one that checks off all the boxes that I have for a GADA in the price range that I am comfortable with (sub CAN$1,000) is the Tissot PR 100 white dial. Its a nice, well made watch but I must admit it lacks character. I have been looking at the Baby Alpinist green dial on a bracelet, but given my conservative nature, I am reluctant to make the plunge just yet.

My criteria for a GADA are:

  • Neutral dial (white, silver, champagne, green)
  • 38-40 mm case size
  • 20 mm lug width
  • Comes on a bracelet, but looks good on a variety of straps of different colours
  • 100 metres or more water resistance
  • Swiss or Japanese brand (willing to include any type of movement and actually like the grab and go qualities of quartz)

Currently I am looking in the sub CAN$1,000 price range, but in the next few years I will be happy to spend more, perhaps up to CAN$4,000 which would open up some more option. I'd love to get a GADA with a GMT or World Time complication

As this is my first post, would love some opinions from others.
