Timex lives again

It took me a week to get this 1970’s Timex to come back to life. It had been wound to the max and the seconds had was frozen. I introduced a little IPA to the crown a week ago and again yesterday. I would do daily quick rotations in my hand and wear it around in my pocket. Finally I hit it was a warn hairdryer yesterday and it started. It stopped and started a few times. Now it’s been going for a few hours and is on the money time wise. I can now wind it again and set the time.

Awesome you brought it back to life. When you said you introduced a little IPA, I thought you drowned it in beer.

That’s a Beautiful watch. Glad you got it working again!

The placement of the full set of numerals is interesting. Generally the 4 is reversed or straight up.

No I’m wrong the 4 is going the correct direction. It’s just straight up most of the time. Sometimes the 4 points the other way. Here it is made to be observed by the user by going inwards.

Congratulations on being the watch back.
