One of these little fellows was going to help with an idea for the scavenger hunt photos, but I didn’t get around to it… so I decided they should guest star over here for some interesting shots instead. He says it wears a bit big for four foot across, and she reckons it’s a girls size, what is he worrying about?

I do have a few figures, though not many enough to consider a collection of their own (maybe though, and certainly if you consider my overall family lol… I passed my Star Wars figures down) — these are cheap copy versions of the sigma arts ones, Artist manikins basically, which is why I have them.

I have more than “a few” action figures (they’re not dolls…honest!😜). In the stir crazy years of Covid, I found a new hobby: toy photography. It was a way to escape the confines of lockdown and wallow in nostalgia while rekindling a love for photography. I found a nice community of like-minded adult enthusiasts (not (wo)man children) on Instagram too - same username by the way😉! More toy photographers than I thought out there - so it’s not that weird…is it..?😜 My wife would disagree right there - but she just about tolerates it - a testament to our love! 😋

I’ve seen such things — including people modifying them to make them photograph better. Model kits too. It’s certainly a good way of moving the outdoor style of photography indoors, and even to an extent indoor studio photography.

I repurpose a lot of things I would have thrown away to make dioramas too. 😅Enjoy the whole process!
