I love your unabashed appreciation of the crown. I share the same love. I am lucky to own two of my dream pieces and am kicking myself for not buying the VC when it was reasonably priced.

At this point in time, these would be my choices for the Mr Fabulous Man About Town perfect four watch collection...

  1. Rolex Explorer 1

  2. Tudor Pelagos blue (non in-house movement)

  3. Casio G-Shock 5610

  4. Bulova Lunar Pilot (no date, original logo)

Your choices were all luxury. For me, two luxury (in my eyes) and two grab and go watches fit all the needs and wants I can imagine.

Are you going to do the Ultimate 400 pice collection next my friend 馃槑

Ok, my four

Can't go wrong Jae with those selections...truly an awesome four watch collection.

I don't have any Rollies in the collection, and not interested to add any, so my selections will not include the Crown.

Having to pick only four from the harem is a very difficult choice...but here goes...

Watch#1 (Sports watch) - Vacheron Overseas blue dial in 18k pink gold

Image

Watch#2 (Dress watch) - JLC Reverso Tribute Nonantieme 90th Anniversary in 18k rose gold

Image
Image

Watch#3 (High Complication watch) - LUC Lunar One Perpetual Calendar in 18k rose gold

Image

Watch#4 (Chronograph) - Montblanc (Minerva) 1858 Split Second LE-18 in 18k lime gold

Some alternate selections (in no particular order)...

Arnold & Son double hemisphere perpetual moon

Franck Muller double-sided rattrapante chronograph (split-second)

Can鈥檛 go wrong with any of these mentioned either.

Why this fixation on imposing an arbitrary limit on the number of watches in a collection? Isn't it obvious that any cap on the number of watches can lead to only one logical conclusion:

Get yourself a square.

These are all great but no collection is complete w/o a G Shock.

Of the watches I already have...

1) Everyday... Skagen Titanium with copper accents

Image

2) When I enjoy my boat or wanna swim... Mainly my Casio Ocenus 200m (my second Grail) as soon as I change the battery - but I will sometimes use my sexy new Invicta ProDiver or elegant Fossil 100m Chronograph, instead

3) When I work with my boat... One of my two Casio digital 100m, that show every time info directly

Image

4) For very special events... Shengua 9541 with black bezel

Image

Or maybe WWOOR made and design in China

Image

Or my old ultra slim and ultra rare Casio, after I give it a new battery and take a finer photo

Image

And if the question was any watch at any price - even including watches that is impossible to find anymore...

1) My daily, because I don't like mecanical watches - except as skeletons...

Image

2) When I enjoy my boat... Same Casio as above, because that's simply the finest diver!

3) When I work with my boat... This delicious Tissot, so I not damage my Casio Grail...

Image

4) And for special events... Any of these...

My "Ultimate" four watch collection is geared more toward my lifestyle than a "baller"...

1) Globemaster, Sedna Gold. The "star" of the show, the one you wear to impress yourself and others.

Image

2) Timex Atlantis. The watch you wear when you just need a cheap, and durable watch... Some call them "beaters", I don't beat my watches, so I just call it "practical".

Image

3) CW C65 Dune. The genuine "GADA", the watch nice enough for dressing up, but cheap enough to wear out doing fun adventures.

Image

4) Marathon GSAR/TSAR. The perfect "work" watch for me, as it's durable, has tritium, and looks reasonable enough in both my office and working uniform. I'm sure a Sub would be cooler looking, but I'd rather have the extra $8K cash for doing fun things, rather than having a "cool" watch.

Nice choices Jae, not enough variety in style for me, but certainly covered the bases well! My group for Diver, Chrono, Everyday, and Dress:

You sir are a true connoisseur of ascetic watch appreciation and always quality and refinement. Three of the four are personal favourites.

My personal 4-Watch Collection would be:

GADA: Longines Spirit 37mm

Image

Chronometer: Omega Moonwatch

Image

Dresswatch: A. Lange & S枚hne 1815

Image

Diver: Tudor Black Bay Fifty-eight
