Just a random thought…
With the recent release of the 5KX GMT, which is one of the better if not the best, recent seiko releases, inspired an idea that I really hope seiko has already thought of. A dresskx (SRPE) GMT styled similarly to the Rolex explorer 2 and Tudor black bay pro. I love the look of both those watches but there is not a budget option like those that isn’t a homage. Its a perfect opportunity I really hope Seiko releasees something like it soon!

Or you can mod your Seiko 5 GMt to look like one 😉…
I for one is waiting for new parts that can fit the gmt case since it’s not a 100% similar to the dresskx case…

I prefer the 40mm profile of the dresskx. I‘m also not a huge fan of modding my own watches and don’t have the tools. I’d rather buy an already modded watch than mod it myself.

yeah then patience is your friend…but my 2 cents they will prbly will come out with one with a slightly smaller movement to fit the 40mm case…I too will be waiting for one...😉
It would depend on how they handle the model. Given that it’s seiko I wouldn’t think people would outright call it a homage. It’ll just be compared to similar looking models like the existing dresskx is compared to the black bay 36.
I don’t have a problem with homages either There’s only so much they can do with a watch without making it overly complicated and expensive. In Seiko’s case for the seiko 5 range I feel like they have a good balance of design cues from other companies along with keeping their own brand identity.
