Terrible bracelet system ruining NWD

I was happy to finally receive my Casio Royale with the stainless bracelet. My first impression was Wow! Kudus to Casio for putting a micro adjust bracelet on such a bargain watch.

Then I went to remove some links... I was annoyed that Casio had to create a whole other system of links and posts/pins. Why? Why create a whole other bracelet system? I have an Edifice and they use the normal bracelet system, why do they have to get cute with the World Time?

But fine, the first two links removed w/o any issue. I reassembled, checked and need to remove one more. But is this one cooperating? No. Hell no! In fact, after 15 mins of struggling with plyers, I have the stupid locking part only halfway out, but it refuses to go any further. Unbelievable...

Thank you Casio for your stupid, custom bracelet system that ruined my NWD. 😡 A curse on both your houses!!!

You're telling me that inserting a spring bar tool or small screwdriver into that slot won't get it out?

I tried both plyers on the end, as well as pulling with a screwdriver in the slot. It's hard to get any grip or leverage, and I'm worried using too much torque will bend the pieces. It feels like the post is bent or something already. I'm about to grab some WD40,  but I'm gonna grab a drink first and come back to it later.

Hit it with some WD40 bro lol.

Yep, that worked. Sprayed some WD40 and worked the bracelet back and forth, and then I was able to pull it out. Nothing bent or anything, it just did not want to come out.

Point is, why do they have to try and get cute with a different bracelet system? Especially when your other watches use the regular pin system? Sigh...😑

That system is common on more vintage watch braclets in my experience. Clearly its a very cheap solution
