Lume from 1988...just!

I recently acquired this beauty, a Christmas present to myself, from a retired British army person.

The Casio MD 502.

He was gifted this upon joining the army in 1988, it's got some heft to it, it's been around the world and even seen some combat.

Being this old means the lume is only present for a about a minute before disappearing.

It has lots of scratches and scuffs as you can imagine, but I'm not going to replace the glass....yet.

But I am thinking about straps. I will wear it swimming and so would like some recommendations please...what do you think?

Looks good! I'd get the rubber o-rings replaced and have it pressure tested before taking it swimming. 

A new rubber strap in your favorite choice of color would look good, assuming it has standard lugs and spring bars.

Let us know what you put on it.
