Thinking of getting this watch for my wife

·

That is something I’ve never seen before. It’s cool and unique. And a Hammy.

·

They look like a piece of art, except for the quartz movement imo, apologies for that I'm a fan of mechanical movements, I can't even judge if they are worth what they are asking for, but my girlfriend told me the other day that she found her old watch she inherited from her grandmother, they are mechanical but I can't identify them. They are also tiny like that hamilton

I have a feeling that the case is gold, as they are incredibly well preserved for their age

Ok, I’ll start us off. If it hangs around your neck, is it still a watch?

At this point in life I prefer mechanical but I still have the quartz watches I collected when younger. My wife prefers quartz but does have a mechanical.

I say yes. This watch comes with both a bracelet and the necklace and can be moved back and forth with a quick release setup. Also when pocket watches where very much the norm it was not unheard of for a women's watch to be worn on a necklace, brooch and let’s nots forget as a bracelet well predating what we think of as a wristwatch that only became popular for men after the world wars.

Well said. As I was writing, I was thinking the concept of pocket watches negated any real argument. But why miss a chance to stir the pot?

Now that is a neat watch and great idea! You’ve got me thinking whether or not my wife would like something like this.

I say show your wife the pictures to gauge her reaction. My wife likes it but is not sure she wants it.

It's still a watch, just not a wristwatch.

That's really nice. Classy.
