This is the collection of quartz pieces I have accumulated in the past few years, before I became interested in mechanical/automatic watches. Tons of Casio and Timex digitals, with some G-Shocks in there.
The silver/gold watch in the front row, center, is my grandad's Seiko Q from either the late 80s-early 90s. Held on to that one after he passed in 2011. Needs to have the bracelet adjusted and a new battery installed.
The chronograph in the second row from the front is an Invicta Daytona ripoff with a dead battery. That one was my grandad's like the Seiko Q below it. That's the only reason I held on to it.
Been collecting watches since around 2014, although the watch that kicked off my obsession was a G-Shock 5600 I received in 2011 as a birthday gift. I currently have about a dozen Casio/G-Shock watche...

Yeah, and maybe a third. I now have 6 mechanical watches I have added to the collection since this photo was taken.

It was a Hattori VD53 movement. I remember that I had never heard that brand name before. I think they still use that movement in their Daytona homages. It saus SII so maybe thats a subsidiary of Seiko similar to the NH35 movements.
