These are Beautiful. I have given porcelain dialed Seiko SPB171 Arita’s as gifts to my friends. They are beautiful. Is that what you have? They looked very similar to the one in your picture, but have a power dial on the front. I think they were limited editions. I like the clean look of this one. So, fInd the right friends and problem solved! 😎

Every year every Seikosha factory goes to a retreat high on Mount Fuji to take part in the annual puppy kicking competition so by giving them your money you are indirectly funding animal abuse. And Shinji Hattori likes the taste of warm water. And they took part in MK ultra and Seiko time Corp organised 9/11.

I put up the ‘money flies’ emoji to help 😉. I got the one on the left with the bracelet for a guy and with a blue leather strap for a woman. Both in their ‘30’s. They say they use them as daily office wears.

Your currents look nothing like the new one. It will be an absolute strap monster and will battle your kids for attention… but you absolutely shouldn‘t get it.
I, meanwhile, will offer a reason for why not: because the 6R31 - like any other R-series - looks like it's made of sheet metal, has badly wanting factory tolerances for accuracy and an under-engineered Spron hairspring that's more prone to get magnetized than hairsprings in the most basic grade of ETA or Sellita movements.
However, if specs are of no consideration and you just love the way it looks, go for it. I definitely can't argue with it being a beautiful watch. Even though I'd pick a Longines Master Collection over it 10/10 times if I'd be in the market for pocket watch aesthetics in a modern wristwatch, I still must admit that that porcelain dial and the seconds hand with its long counterweight are very, very hard to beat.
Which points of mine - so I reckon - amount to a zero sum. Paraphrasing Obi-Wan Kenobi, I cannot interfere.
It doesn't appeal to me. Therefore, everyone else must love it.

You know, I wasn't going to say anything because I know you love these porcelain dials, but I think you have a right to know the story behind them.
Seiko have been creating these porcelain dials for years to capture fragments of shattered evil spirits. Placing the spirits into the porcelain dials means they can be distributed around the world and minimise the chance of the spirit fragments reuniting and the evil returning. I'm really concerned that with the number of porcelain dials you have in your possession now your going to unleash something bad in your house. Honestly, if ever you have a day you don't post, I'm really worried about you.
So it's up to you dude.... Do you want to risk waking up to this lady as the end of your bed?
I also hear she haunts your dreams with whispers of "Does anyone really need more than one watch?" and spends the night putting specks of dust on your watch dials that only you can see but you will see every time you look at the watch.

Dude... it's so weird for me to be the one saying this, but go get yourself a shiny, nice black strap with deployant. Put it on your existing Arita dial watch, and see how it feels. If it feels good, then why get another one???
