Curious to know the crunch collective‘s 2023 purchasing goals. End of year, I’m eyeing the silver and gold accent #rolex OP 41mm. What is on your shortlist for 2023?
Already on the list for the Pelagos 39, so there's that. And i then intend to put my name down for a Rolex Explorer, the 36mm watch I've always wanted (glad they ditched the 39 version).
I also love the idea of a Speedmaster if the Explorer wait list rolled onto 2024, however I think it's a tad too large for my 6.5" wrist.
Big house renovation, and kid starting college this year (with another close behind in the pipeline). Not surprise expenses, but their extent remains an unknown, so no big watches this year, unless I get surprised by a gift.
That means:
1) Focus on organizing present selection: Get rid of ones that don’t make the cut, make sure everyone has the right strap.
2) Some sub $200 watches on the list. A Vostok, a Casio Edifice,an Orient (Ray or Kamasu), and maybe some Ali Express pickups (Escapement Time, Baltany, Pagani). And always the possibility of the Lunar Pilot.
When the opportunity does arise for more liberal watch spending, there are some Farers, some CWs, some GSs, some Longines, and a Breguet (that I will probably never buy because I’ll always have some other priority that outranks it) on the list.
And there’s always the siren song of those $20 eBay HMTs. They’re good because they take so long to come: They’re like horological nicotine patches.
I have a budget for 2 watches this year. Hopefully a #rolex explorer II or a GMT-master ii (if the AD allows it😏) and one green #omega seamaster. Already bought #seiko alpinist

Try the new 2021 Speedy, as I think you'll be surprised! Bracelet drops straight down, with a shortish lug to lug = 47mm.
Don't let the the case size put you off my fellow watch friend! Give it a try at least! 👌
That’s a nice watch. My wish list is a Datejust 36mm with the mint green dial..
I'm looking to get this by mid June or early July.

That’s gorgeous, I will probably get the cushion cased Hamilton Chronograph:) I love your choice.
Frankly? I have no idea. My collection never really works according to plans I have.
But I have vague notions but no plans about the following.

I had my name down for that OP. Great piece. Love the sunburst dial with the gold indices. I was offered the green OP 41mm, which I jumped at.
I've been lucky with my Rolex AD. I've had the non date Submariner 41mm, the Batgirl and the green OP.
2023 wish list is as follows:
Omega Planet Ocean.
I’m looking at an IWC Mark XX green dial and a Tag Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200.
Nice choice. Seriously.

Who makes a Vanta Black (Other than that company that makes the Apple Watch-looking thingie)?
Omega aqua terra. Though I may have to wait a little longer.
