I’d appreciate your honest feedback - thank you
im not really into gs, but ill go with the green one. dial colour is more pop not bland. also its cleaner without power reserve indicator, just my opinion.
I agree....the green one is more versatile....and I'm not really into GS Spring Drive either....the pink is unique, and will stand out.....but it's automatic for me so the green wins..... beautiful dials on both.
Tough decision, better flip a coin: Heads- Spring Drive, Tails- Automatic High-beat. Win-Win either way...
The SBGA413. The dial is stunning and changes in all sorts of different light. It also looks great on a brown leather strap.
A high beat movement might require more servicing over time
A spring drive is still unknown in that department but in terms of a good conversation piece that is it
Both are nice choices. Grand Seiko’s differentiation is the Spring drive, but see what makes sense on your wrist. The smooth second hand movement is quite special and I‘m a fan of the GS titanium cases.
Either choice is going to be downright amazing!
Given the choice between 2 identical GS watches, I would always choose the Spring Drive over the Hi-beat. No other watch manufacturer has the capabilities to do something like Spring Drive. It is truly unique in the watch world. Even forgetting all that, the smooth sweep of the seconds hand is out of this world mesmerizing.
For example, I have the SBGJ237 and love everything about it, but secretly wish that it were Spring Drive instead of hi-beat. I even furtively look at photos of the SBGE201, behind the SBGJ237's back, late at night.
I secretly wish all my hi-beat watches were Spring Drive, but never the other way around.
Nonetheless, if you forget the movement for a second, either of those 2 watches is absolutely FIRE!
I would go for the SBGA413.
I’m thinking of adding one to my collection as well.
Love the look and really wanna try spring drive.
I'll pick the SBGA413, cuz it's a Spring Drive 😊
(Also, despite the stock picture...it's actually not that pink in person. It's more like silver-ish)
Between those watches? I'd take the 413 as I've had both on my wrist. The 413 is very versatile. The pink barely comes through. You can wear it with anything.
But within that four seasons collection, I think I'd take the blue and gold 273. I like the dial a bit more, despite the fact that watch is an automatic and not a spring drive.
I refuse to advise on these matters. You'll know which one is for you (if either) when you get there and nothing I say will (or should) influence that. QED
Left, just 'cause the dial is prettier.
413. All day long.
I understand your point. And agree with it, yet I am curious what others think of the two. and in the end it’s of course as you said: my choice. Thank you.
I have nothing to support this statement, but one thing nobody has really mentioned is this. The 413 was, and continues to be, a highly unique and desirable watch. It has appreciated in value. In 20 years, I think that reference will still be sought after by collectors. It's almost as desirable as the snowflake and white birch. I'm not sure the same applies for the summer version. So, not only do you get a more unique dial and movement, but you also probably (?) get better marketability and value retention with the 413.
