Divex Watches....a little known uber beater?

I was listening to an old 40 and 20 podcast discussing in passing the Divex Professional 200 divewatch and just how good it was.

So I did some digging on the interweb although in truth there was precious little information out there.

So I was wondering amongst our membership who might have knowledge or experience of this brand and an opinion on how good they might be?

I do know they are quartz pieces (seiko movement?) and are not available to purchase other than from a British company called JFD based in Aberdeen. This company deals in and supplies lots of equipment for commercial and military concerns including several dive watches. There are four different models including the Professional 200 and the Offshore 500, the more expensive , at and get this only £118.94!

It seems to be that the company will not ship outside of the UK although I did find a US site selling them although for quite a bit more money?

There is a relatively well known article about a dive watch found on the wreck of the carrier HMS Hermes which had been sunk off the coast of Ceylon in 1942. The watch had been lost by a Sri Lankan navy diver about a month before finding at a depth of 30 fathoms (53 metres) still ticking with the correct date. This was a Divex Proffesional 200. So definitely NOT a desk diver!

There are precious few reviews of them but from what I can gather the specs are good , they are a proper tool watch and I think they share the looks of some seiko and citizen divers in a good way.

I'm after one so would appreciate the opinions of any one in the know about these little known divers?

I'm guessing that I was right on these watches and they remain very little known! Perhaps all the more reason to get one and perhaps even throw in my first review? If you are just catching up with this post and have any knowledge at all on these then please share...
