If he appreciates low maintenance, I’d look into the Casio Oceanus range. I tried to get my brother into watches over the years, let him borrow a Vostok, gave him an EcoDrive, but nothing ever really stuck, mostly because he hates setting watches haha. Ultimately I gave him my Casio Oceanus T200, and he absolutely loves it. Loves that it sets itself, that it’s solar, and, being a car guy, he digs that it’s JDM.
