Too Small? Psshhh…

“Too Small” “undersized” “disproportionate” ? … I think I need to reevaluate everything I know about watch size.

The Lorier Falcon has been on my watch list since series II, but I couldn’t get past the 36mm dimensions and hessalite crystal. But a slow and steady march towards smaller and more vintage-style tastes, has led me to this— and it’s stunning.

There’s nothing I can add that hasn’t already been said about this watch, or indeed Lorier as a brand i.e. well-made watches with an enthusiast-centric design ethos and a great buying experience. But I can absolutely attest to this watch having “something special” that sets it apart.

Obviously, I’m in the throes of that glorious honeymoon period, where a watch has no faults and is the only timepiece you’ll ever need, and you can finally become the debonair adventurer with ice water in his veins and a story for every occasion you always knew you could be if you just had THAT watch… <ahem> … sorry, got carried away.

Joking aside, in my brief time with the Falcon, it feels extremely well made, wears beautifully on my 7.25" wrist, and undeniably has vintage character and charm to spare. It has definitely changed my perception of watch size.

Bravo, Lorier, bravo 👏

Wear the watch, don't let the watch wear you.

I think a lot of people would enjoy smaller watches, if they were willing to give them a try.

My 38mm C65 Dune is absolutely perfectly sized for my 7" wrist, and I strongly suspect a 36mm watch would look just as perfect.

100% agree. Big watches have their place (aviation watches, serious divers, etc..) and I still love my Lunar Pilot, Samuari, and fliegers (doesn't get much bigger than those lol). But I'm beginning to think that for everyday wear, if given the chance most of us would probably find ourselves falling for something simple 38mm or smaller. Clean, unobtrusive, and livable.

The next frontier for me: 34mm vintage watches??? 🤔 haha

Don't know if I'm classy enough to pull that off... actually, I don't know if I have the upper-body strength to either. lool

I must have a dozen watches 36 and under, and have no problem wearing any of them on my 7.5" wrist. People get too hung up on size. In 10 years time we'll be having discussions on whether we can still wear 42s as they look ridiculously oversized for the time.

I doubt it, I mean since that movie daylight? Came along, popularity of those big watches exploded and kept going until recently. At last they are shrinking in size, it took almost 30 years for this "trend" to die down

Well some of the manliest men in the world waded ashore in Normandy with watches that size or smaller so, I would agree with you.

·

I received mine about 3 weeks ago and love it!

‘Excuse me, do you have the time?’

'Ummm… I think so?’

I have a neptune iv and it's probably my favourite watch.

·

I've got 8in wrists and I've got 20 something 34mm or smaller watches I love BUT they are real vintage not faux vintage. A 32mm vintage watch is intriguingly authentic, a 34 mm modern watch is just faux vintage small.

Small and light is awsome.
