Tribute watches - an alternative for "unattainable" watches?
In my perception for about two years there has been a boom for Chinese watches, since they offer quite decent finishes with designs obviously not their own, but for some of us are alternatives like this Pagani Design tribute to the 5711 which of course I can not afford to have at this time in my life.

Perception is reality and I don't perceive any difference except branding. Looks like a Nautilus to me.
I'm never going to own anything over $1000. So, for me homage is as close I'll ever get to those watches. I couldn't care what people think about having those watches. Don't get me wrong, people on here don't usually say anything bad, but there's others out there who do. But who cares.

Do not worry, I understand, However I hope someday to have the opportunity to reach those levels, I started with very cheap vintage watches and I have come to buy watches of 3500 dollars and I have enjoyed the road. However when I wanted to feel the experience at least apparently I have resorted to these hommage and you are right here few people speak badly or prefer to pass by, but there are people who really hates them.

Actually at this moment I don't care if it is a copy, tribute or homage, what I do know is that it is a watch that I like in its appearance to wear on a Sunday and it is not that in my collection I do not have more tasteful watches, price or value, I am simply clear that watches are toys or pretexts to tell the time and more in this time that cell phones exist
It makes me laugh that these watches generate this type of reaction from people who accept them, to people who hate them and throw tantrums because they are a copy, when in reality many do... Steinhart, Tissot, Maurice Lacroix even at times Seiko.
