I only ever travel with two. The watch on my wrist (usually my Aqua Terra as I can wear it anywhere) and a beater in my backpack, usually a G-Shock or a Seiko 5.
I don’t like to accumulate too many watches. I find that after about 4-5 months, if I haven’t bought the watch, I move onto something else. I typically only buy one watch every 18 months or so, so there are plenty of watches I’ve lusted after but eventually moved on from.
Man, seeing that Hydra SIII in steel really waters the mouth. I can't decide between this and the new Nodus/Raven Trailtrekker collaboration as my preferred sub $1K GMT.
The only thing I don't like about Monta is that they use the same case shape for almost all their watches. I think the new Ocean King is a bit different in that regard being 41mm versus 38.5 for the Noble (Triumph as well?). I wish there was a bit more visual distinction across the line other than the dials and hands.
Love this watch (and the mainly orange one they released). Super quirky and original for the brand. Definitely something you wear for you, not for other people.
