This past weekend was the 63rd annual Winter Park (FL) arts festival. The event takes place in downtown Winter Park, Florida, which is a suburb of Orlando. The location is just off Park Ave, which is also where Orlando Watch Company (www.Orlandowatchco.com) is located. OWC is an AD of Oris, Longines, Grand Seiko/Seiko, Meistersinger, G-Shock, Bremont and Bell & Ross among others.
Every year, Oris comes down and brings their Airstream, which is a really cool retro trailer where you can try out every watch from the Aquis to the Pro Pilot X as well as get free swag, enjoy an espresso or a bourbon.
I got to try on the new Rectangular (great watch, not too small for my 6.75” wrist, but why oh why did they try to shoehorn a date window on there? The watch is too small for that), the new caliber 400 Big Crown Pointer Date (great watch, minus the strap) and a few Aquis’ (what’s plural for Aquis???)
Here are some photos which really don’t do justice to the festival. It’s quite big, well attended and very enjoyable with a ton of amazing pieces of art on display and for purchase by hundreds of artists nationwide.
