Seiko SRN045P1 Review

It was 2018 when I got promoted in my job and I really wanted to make a gift to myself. My first serious watch. I remember myself walkin through a street full of expensive stores and I saw this Seiko. It was love at a first sight. I took a photo of it, I went home, I googled it, and the very next day I returned to the store and I bought it. I was more excited than ever and I still love it more than most of my watches.

This model was controversial for various reasons. Some people thought that is was expensive, others that kinetic models were not "good" at all. For me, the oddest thing of all is its price. It was not "stable" back then, nor it is now. You may find it at 200€-$ or 450€-$. Back then, I paid for it 320€.

Now let's get serious. This model is a beast. Yes it is bulky (it s my biggest watch) but I mean that it works perfectly well. It's super precise and even nowadays I wear it a couple of times a week, but it never falls behind. In the past, I left it aside for about a month and to my surprise, it was still working and the time was accurate. There is nothing to wind, you just wear it and the battery gets full. I just love it. Its relatively clean dial is unique and you never get bored of it. Originally, it came with a stainless bracelet but I m falling in love with it again, using various nato straps.
