Marine Nationale strap

Today's big question; how does one best wear a Marine Nationale strap? I tend to wear mine with the hardware to the side. This means that the "underneath the wrist bit" isn't scratching or being scratched by the desk. Is that just the norm? Any other suggestions?

I have no idea what the norm is, but I wear my only MN strap sort of on the bottom off center...not because I chose that, but because I'm 99% positive the strap doesn't actually fit the watch I have it on, and once I got the spring bars attached I'm not messing with it until one breaks or falls off :-D

Mines on the bottom I altered mine to be a single pass through so am not sure I could wear it to the side now but it's a good idea.

See... to me that way the clasp thing will scratch more easily. Hence wearing it to the side

MN straps are supposed to be "tool" straps, so I wear mine and never worry about the buckle getting scratched.

I wear the buckle on the bottom of my wrist, as it seems the more comfortable to me.

I wear mine with the buckle on the bottom, but it has scratched my desk top before, which is less than ideal.
it’s a bit off topic, I actually started wearing Nick Mankey hook straps to avoid this happening. Most comfortable strap I’ve ever worn and none of the metal bits can scratch my wrist or desk!

Right about here everytime! Never even thought about it. I think I just strapped where I normally strap watches.

well it’s kind of side/base. It’s the comfiest part as the other loop isn’t jammed into my veins

Maybe I'm too concerned about scratches. I don't really care if its a tool watch thing. I'd still rather not scratch it when I can avoid scratches. I've always been a bit hopeless when it comes to things like that.

Underneath for me

I recently wore my snowflake purchased in December of 2019...it has so many scratches it might as well be an older SBGA011 instead of the 211...and to me I wouldn't have it any other way :)

All depends on length of band as they vary so much and wrist size as to where hard ware normally ends up. I always have clip on inside and on side of wrist as my wrists quite small.

That's a sweet bottle opener.
