Night time watches?

Does anyone wear their watches to sleep? If so, do you have a favorite? The Seiko 5 on jubilee is mine due to the comfortable bracelet and the sheer amount of lume.

I tend to wear my Navigator to bed, it's one of my most comfortable watches, and the tritium is amazing.

I've always been curious about tritium lume. I hear stories of the tubes coming off but I WANT THAT ALL NIGHT ALL THE TIME LUME!

I think the best way to ensure you have no issues with tubes falling off the dial is to buy from an established brand like Marathon, or Ball.

The tritium is awesome, I also have a GSAR, but it's not quite as comfortable for sleeping with because of the thickness.

Look what I'm wearing. Have it on a Detomaso full grain leather strap.

I thought about sleeping with my watch  but didn't want to accidentally bang up any of the wood furniture. Wife puts up with my watches and don't need to mark up the bed head board.

Cheers!

My regular watches go to bed in their beds.

I go to bed with my fitness tracker.

·

Same as @UnholiestJedi , my watches tend to sleep in the box and I usually wear my old Polar M400 when I go to bed to track my sleep.

·
·

I like to sleep without anything on my wrist, so I usually take my watch off before bed. The only time my watches stay on my wrist while I'm sleeping is when I've had a few too many and forget to take it off.

Love to stir up the hornet's nest. Hehe

Since i got this bad boy its my bed time watch. It's quite big but very lightweight and it has amazing back light and of course the vibration alarm.

·

Might have to start wearing my Seiko 5 (SRPD61) to sleep 🍻

·

I never thought of NOT wearing my watch when I go to sleep and I don't have a pajama watch because it's the same watch that I wore during the day.

·

I generally wear a watch while sleeping. I choose ones with good lume (Citizen or Seiko divers) or tritium so that I can tell the time overnight.

·

I alternate between my Easy-Reader and Griffy for apparent reasons of grandiose night-time viewing capabilities.

I often wear that day’s watch to bed, with the exception of anything that has an audible “tick.” So the MoonSwatch and Timex Expedition are out! I also don’t prefer sleeping in a bracelet or without decent lume. My G-Shock is my go-to most nights for those reasons.

·

why would i need a watch when i could have a comfortitty?

My Corum Bubble Diver... It's the one with the best lume in my collection, useful to know my waking to pee time and I don't bother the wife with a light.

How do you like it? I never heard of them, but when I went to a watch shop they all swore by them!

From time to time, but not regularly.  Best of my collection for sleeping is the Smiths Everest.  Small at 36mm, light weight, and lume that rivals any dive watch in my collection.  Hit it with a UV flashlight, and it will still be legible 6+ hours later.

How do you like the Smith's?? I've been on a hunt for a quality explorer homage.

You know, i should get one because I'm always afraid of getting stuck in a cave on my way to work.

my wife says I’m always Stuck in my man cave

I’ve had mine for going on 3 year now.  It’s a great watch, and like as not the best 1016 homage available. But snagging one is a pain. They are literally “small batch” production runs.  Took me three tries!

Damn. Well, that looks great!

What a great question.  I have only worn a watch at night when camping or similar mis-adventure; usually a G-shock which are the only watches I own that are not on metal bracelets.  Hiking does count as I usually find my way back to Civilization prior to needing to sleep/camp. Even out on the trail on horseback, it is not usual wear anything but a G-shock since, well, falling off horses is a bit shocking.

Posted a pic... They are great, different, quirky.

When talking about watches you want to see in the dark, it would be hard to beat Timex and their indiglo feature.  That's what I wear.

That's true. I had a weekender and long time ago and the indigo is mesmerizing.

When you have a watch you can hardly feel your wearing then it's good enough to never take off unless your cleaning. I forget to put it on if I ever take it off. It's just an accessory and shouldn't warrant a second thought. I went through 30 watches before I found the right one.

My favourite is the Tudor Pelagos 42mm. Lumed bezel is awesome at night
