I've been working on quite a few bits and bobs recently. The one pictured above is from 1971 and has a quirky 7006 movement. There's a quick set date but no quick set day. The date wheel only has one language (English).
It started out looking a bit sad and running fairly poorly but now it's much happier and properly shiny.
It's amazing how these relatively cheap little watches can be made to look really rather lovely with a dab of TLC.
I've also put this together as a "suck it and see" experiment. I think the gold dial goes rather marvelously with the refurbed steel case but I'm sure other opinions are available...
Last but not least. I'm currently working on this lovely JW Benson pocket watch belonging to our very own @Guvnor64...
I've cleaned it, polished it and serviced the movement. Just waiting on a new crystal before the big reveal. I'll do a post on the revival process.
Until next time gorgeous people.
I'm looking forward immensely! I hope the crystal fits!
Hey! May I know where the (tiffany? 😉) blue strap on the Seiko is from?
Those Seikos looks great with their cushion case and all your effort put in. Looking forward to see the progress of @Guvnor64 ’s pocket watch.
Does that gold dial Seiko have a home?

Thank you for pointing it out!!
Brilliant job, you've done wonders with both of them, top stuff.
Yep! So satisfying, isn't it? Your work is excellent, they look amazing. 🍻
