Worse ways to have a midlife crisis :)

Midlife crisis is hitting me in the watch face lately. Wife and daughter have zero interest in watches so here I am. Crisis started with a cheap HMT watch from eBay, then a spin of the dreaded “wheel” (you know what I mean)  got me a crappy Jacques Monnat and then finally bought a black and gold Orient Kamasu as a low budget “real” watch. Slowly learning more and annoying my wife with poor color coordination of quick release watch bands. :)

Welcome Garlando

Enjoy the process of learning and collecting - it’s not a rush to a finish line (I doubt there is one). Have fun!

We all know the other alternative:

So I think your wife lucked out

·

I'd say that HMT is the realest watch. With what are these bands poorly coordinating?

Welcome aboard.

exactly, that's what I keep telling my wife! It's not women or cars, just watches! And not even expensive ones! However, I'm a professional drummer and I have not told her how many drums I bought over the pandemic yet (too many)! Fortunately I can write those off as a business expense :)
