Victorinox , Seiko , Citizen ...for a $1000 i almost pulled the trigger Tag F1 Orange ( in Cozumel only place i go with normal prices i live in Argentina ) maybe next trip...
Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 for $210

Used rewards points to cover the difference between the price I paid and retail.
I bought a Muhle Glashutte Terrasport II for £250 on eBay. I was (and still am) chuffed with it!
It remains my best buy to date.
Getting in early is a good way getting good deals with microbrands. Pre-ordered the Borealis Seastorm Mk2 in November and got it for 35% less than it costed a month later.
And just bought the Seiko Baby Alpinist SPB155J1 for €500, which is much less than it would cost last year so that’s an argument for waiting on non-micros.
I think it’s mostly down to luck. 🤔
I'm cheap AF and try to only buy bargains (sometimes my heart takes over though).
Here is a selection of recent buys....
1930's Ingersoll for £20
1960's Omega for £75
1960's Gruen for £75
Casio Duro $38

That's an amazing find. Not jealous at all!!!
For what I thought was a steal at $700 - perhaps not everyone’s taste of course.

1959? Junghans 93S1 Manual Wind; ebay $85.
1961 Hamilton Accumatic; ebay $89
1955? Longines Small Seconds; ebay $190

£11
£13 - Phenix sub-brand and movement
£10 - Rotary Cal. 440 (AS?) w/3 adjustments, so nice quality movement
just the postage (~ £3)
it’s not a game, but I’m winning.
Alpina Seastrong Diver Auto for $535 on Jomashop.
I think Alpina is often forgotten and a good watch at often discounted prices.
<500$, probably not everyone's cup of tea but such a nice watch. Gr5 titanium, great finishing, 200m WR, tons of functions, radio-sync, etc.
Definitely vintage. Not yet in my possession, but already bought 😇
Don’t have a picture just yet because it’s arriving tomorrow but snagged a new 41mm ORIS big crown propilot from Ashford watches for $725.

That's beautiful! 👍
Best deal under $1K? Probably my Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical, with the 70hr power reserve H-50 movement for $315. If memory serves retail price at the time in 2019 was $475. Got it new during an online Black Friday sale from AAFES (the Army & Air Force Exchange Service) which is an authorized dealer. So $160, or 33.5% below retail. Plus tax free and free shipping from the Swatch Group warehouse in NJ which probably saved $50 more at least. Even though I wasn’t actually shopping for a watch when I found it it was a deal I couldn’t pass up!

I’m gonna start wearing women’s watches. I think the cheapest men’s Omegas are over $200.

Nice watches. 👍
For me it was last September, someone posted a Monta Skyquest Pepsi LE 1 of 50 for $1000. One, it is the only one I have seen listed under $1800, though most sell over $2K. Two, it is a hell of a watch for $2k, but for $1K, take my money...every time.

Great shot, love orange pops similar to the sun.
What's the reference number for the model?
My best deal ever was I bought a 19.2 lbs bag of watches in a government auction for $160. I pulled a Rolex Submariner out of it. I just sold it before Christmas for $12,500.
Those are some hot watches at smoke'n prices!
Thanks! I’m fortunate that the work rewards program allows me to spend next to nothing on select watches while I have a separate income that allows me to save for luxury pieces.
$30 at a flea market in Bangkok.
(Another $75 in full service and a vintage bracelet).
For what I thought was a steal at $700 - perhaps not everyone’s taste of course.

Alpina Heritage Pilot Chronograph👌
i cant find the exact model :(
Best deal I stumbled upon was the Seiko King Turtle SRPE 03 from Walmart’s website for $288 which I ordered immediately. Out of curiosity, I went back to Walmart’s website the next day and it was listed for $500. (Today, it’s listed for $468).
I later removed the cyclops and put it on a BoR bracelet from Strapcode.
I’d have to go with the Tissot Ballade COSC in silver or gold. can be had for around 300 and is absolutely stunning and works as a great casual or dress piece.
Great shot, love orange pops similar to the sun.

That's a nice way of looking at it, like the sun!
I bought the Ba1110d Chapter 3.3 1R1SE at a major watch fair this past October and have gotten endless compliments since then: It's definitely a looker, but also immensely reliable and truly original. An amazing deal for about 500 USD, it absolutely punches above its weight!
