Getting in early is a good way getting good deals with microbrands. Pre-ordered the Borealis Seastorm Mk2 in November and got it for 35% less than it costed a month later. 

And just bought the Seiko Baby Alpinist SPB155J1 for €500, which is much less than it would cost last year so that’s an argument for waiting on non-micros. 
I think it’s mostly down to luck. 🤔
