Swatch To The Top Review

Hey first real quick thanks for checking out this post of mine I highly appreciate it and I'll try to respond to every comment!

First Glance

So where to begin this is my Olympic 2010 "To The Top" Swatch. Being 41mm wide it quite obviously evident in the photos doesn't fit on my 6 and half inch wrist  but honestly who really cares anyway if you're wearing it around the house? The strap I believe is rubber or silicone (I think it's more rubber feeling it) isn't the most breathable but is comfy enough.

Their is practically no lume on the watch however with only appearing on the minute and hour hand which seems a little extra but it's nice enough. I'd take lume wherever I can get it honestly. The chronograph dials seems rather flat and applied except for the seconds dial. It seems to have sun brushed dial. The white seems as well rather flat in my opinion with no brushing just flat white.

The hour indicators are a nice enough very reminiscent of the Olympic games and are actually silver in colour! However the date complication in my opinion just seems out of place at the 4 O'Clock position with the black background just clashes with the white. (It's funny often times its the opposite where black watches get white date wheels) so it would of been nice to keep that white to not clash so much.

The bezel is unidirectional (which surprised me because I thought I was going to get friction based) with 60 clicks! I always preferred 60 clicks over 120 more satisfying in a way! That made question though, does anybody know the reason for the roaring bezel? Its a plastic watch and I'm assuming it only has about 30 m water resistance. So what would be the reason of the bezel?

Verdict

Overall even though I have tons of nickpicks I really enjoy the watch. It's my first chronograph and it's watch to celebrate the 2010 Olympics which happened close to where I live, so I have tons of great memories affiliated with it. It's a comfy everyday where and always gets me in the spirit for whatever sports even. Be the Olympics or the NHL hockey game! Don't loose track of time, See ya!

Swatch makes fun watches as long as you don't take them too seriously and expect them to last a long time. Good time not a long time so have a good time.....forgets words.

I think one their quotes is "Time is what you make of it"

Thanks for that review! This is really cool design for the Olympics. I do have a Swatch and have had them before as well. I like that they are so light and comfortable to wearb- at least the models I have had. The color and designs are enough that it seems like anyone could find something to like. I also feel like you have a something interesting to wear that is just fun for occasions that you don't want to wear a larger or more expensive watch.
