Seiko Prospex Turtle - The Turtle Edition!
Tried on a few turtles 🐢 while in Japan - and fell in love. Not always with the dial, but definitely with the case. I’d theoretically written it off thinking too heavy, but it felt so good on wrist!
Since I’d been wanting a lower cost ‘beater’ diver, I put it on the short list to keep an eye out for. Well, couple weeks ago came across a used Turtle turtle and popped for it sight unseen.
Super risky, I know…(just read @Deeperblue s tale of woe regarding love for sight unseen watches) happy ending though: I freaking love it 😍
It has some mild upgrades vs base turtles - sapphire crystal ceramic bezel. Also Kanji day wheel and and multi layer fume dial to die for. Just a 4R36 inside: basic, sturdy and reliable.
So, nutty me, now I’ve got my beater diver but I like it too much to classify as my beater diver 🤪

I love the dials on these, I have the other two color variants. They are two of my favorite watches! My blue one I put a strap code endmill bracelet on it with a Seiko Marine Master clasp. and it wears like a much more expensive watch than it is.
Just waiting for the Green one to fall into my lap...😀
