If you want a go anywhere, do anything watch this might be the best one for you. The Promaster Tough is a 42mm stainless steel case with a special hardening coating keeping it looking great.
The watch has had a sapphire crystal, 200m water resistance, screw down crown, and uses their eco drive e168 movement. It's not the lightest watch weighing 187g on my scale but the heft implies the solid nature of it.
This watch is also a front loader design allowing it to set nicely on the wrist.
The h-link bracelet is 22mm wide and has a nice milled clasp with 3 micro adjustments. I do wish the bracelet had a little taper to it for added comfort but it does wear nicely on my larger wrist.
Throwing the watch on leather does dress it up a bit but I prefer the bracelet.
Lume is pretty good on this watch and I really like the different lume on the minute hand for extra contrast.
This is a watch I plan on keeping for a long time unless I can get a deal on the titanium version.

Nice review. I always thought this watch was awesome.
Very cool watches 💪 There is something Sinnesque about this model.
Love the look of this watch, but read in a few spots online about QC issues? Apparently Citizen resells quite a number of refurbished ones.
Good review! I bought this as a work watch, but I’m the end I’m trying to sell mine as I just prefer my Gshock for my particular work needs. That being said, this is unequivocally a tough beater of a watch.

I haven't had any issues with mine but they are a large company so I'm sure they've had issues from time to time.
Good to hear and I may yet get one as well
It's a lovely looking tool watch. I have a titanium version and really love it mine has numerals but I like the dial like this.
I have one of these!!!! It's such a good watch. I wasn't a fan of the bracelet either. There's a link at the clasp that just sits oddly. The H-link is nice and the finish is quite good, but that one link is strange. Dealbreaker? I put a rubber strap on mine so I don't know. I did swap the bracelet back on once and, yup, that goofy link. Probably a deal breaker but, thankfully, other straps fit nicely making it a keeper.
Have you considered looking for a 'Ray Mears' edition? I believe these are in Titanium.
