A raffle win and a bonus from my dad
I won this seiko in a take earlier this week in a raffle and it showed up today. The dial is amazing in person but I'm trying to figure out if it's a keeper or if I want to sell/trade it for something else.
And for the bonus my dad was going through a box and found a watch my grandparent gave him for his 8th grade graduation in 1971. I'll need to get it serviced but it's pretty cool. Surprisingly the lume still pops.

You should register that Sea King with mybulova.com. They don't have many Sea King day/dates in the data base.
My first watch was a Bulova quartz dress watch. I received it about the same age. This little automatic is beautiful. Can't wait until you get it running. The Seiko is cool BUT you have to love that dial. I say sell it

I think the hesitation is the price. At $600 I wouldn't even think twice about keeping it. At $1,100 you're getting into a lot of watches in interested in and I'm wondering if there's one I'd like more.
Congrats. The family hand down Bulova is soo cool. Treat with care. I feel this sort of thing will fade out with the Moden technology drowning our children these days

Hahaha, I was playing with the bezel and didn't notice I hadn't centered it before photos. It's the second raffle watch I've won though there's been maybe 10 I've been within 2 numbers of winning. Still my best raffle win was a $4,500 custom bicycle frame
Lucky you! Congratulations! I received mine last week and it has been taking a lot of wrist time along with my Oris.
That is an excellent example of the Bulova, you should definitely get that serviced and wear it.
