This is why german Watches are Great! (My Opinion)

For me it was the selling point for sure!

I‘m talking about that amazing inhouse movement of course! You can instantly see how much effort goes into these watches from Nomos Glashütte.

The whole Polishing and the blued screws look beautiful. And the golden letterings in the Inside just fit in perfect.

This is not exclusive to German watches…

Nomos make incredible watches for the money. The in house movements in both of mine have been solid and keep great time. The decoration while not strictly a German thing is done very well and brings beauty to the watch.

·

I always appreciate the effort. Always.

·

Yes, you are right. It really is a very beautiful watch, congratulations! That's certainly not only the case with German watches, but also with my #tutima from Glashütte, I immediately feel the quality and perfection with which it was made, so I know exactly what feeling you mean. Enjoy your #nomos very much.

It’s nice but like @Porthole mentioned it’s not exclusive to German made watches, the only gripe I have with Nomos is the lugs it’s too long for my taste and leaves an undesirable space between the watch and strap unless it’s on integrated bracelet it ok but aside from that it’s a nice watch. 👍🏻

·

You guys are absolutely Right! Its not a German watches only thing. There are many wonderful movements out there from everywhere in the world!

I do want to say that I mean that typical Glashütte style which every watchmaker in that city does!

Thanks for the kind remidner 😊

Thats a solid Point. The Lugs are Kind of huge and are making Even the small watches look big. I do really like it but I can totally feel how thats not for everyone!

Damaskeening, custom bridges, custom rotors, cover plates and exhibition casebacks are not unique to Glashütte. The only thing that would be unique to a Glashütte-produced watch is the presence of the word Glashütte.

Though I don’t own one, I love Nomos watches, and will one day buy one. It’s amazing that they can offer in-house movements at those prices.

I absolutely love my Nomos, especially since I never thought I'd own one. Everything about it is quality and hand made. Even the escapement is in-house, which is very unusual in a watch at this price.

·

For Nomos’ price point, these finishing techniques are good value especially considering they are all in house movements. Hand engraved balance bridges however are a design trait of German Watch making.

If Nomos sorted the lug length out they’d sell like hot cakes I’m convinced. They are lovely but I can’t get over the lugs 🤔🤷‍♂

That is a lovely watch. I would love to own a Nomos one day. Not necessarily a must-have, mind you, but if I had extra extra money and the conditions are just right (for instance Glashutte Original is nowhere in sight), I can see myself buying one.

Totally agree. Nomos are great watches🥰👍🏼
