Think of this like the AliExpress homage of the Artist-Formerly-Known-As-Omeganut's (@HotWatchChick69) wildly successful charity auctions; I have much less brand recognition but just as much value to offer.
I am auctioning the first of three watches to support two wonderful and worthwhile organizations here in the Bay Area: the SF-Marin Foodbank and the Alameda County Food Bank.
I have been a decade long supporter of both organizations because there are very few nonprofits that have the impact on my community that AC and SF/Marin Food Bank do and even fewer that do at the same efficiency.
Respectively, 93 and 95 percent of all gifts go directly to food grant programs, rather than into administration or further fundraising. As much as any nonprofit can be, they are efficient, well run machines that are devoted to ending hunger in the Bay Area. (Source: Charity Navigator).
While I don't have a fancy corporate match, I will personally double match the final bid of all of the three auctions with receipts to be posted at the end of the auction. One bid, 3x the result split between two worthy organizations. Can't beat it.
And speaking of AliExpress....
For the first of three watches up for sale....we have the 62Mas Chronograph SN007 from San Martin, fresh off the boat (as of early June anyway).
Specs:
Movement: Seagull ST1901 [Manual mechanical movement]
Case Diameter: 40mm
Bezel Diameter: 41mm
Lug to Lug: 49.7mm
Thickness: 14.2mm
Lug width: 20mm
Water Resistant: 10 Bar=100 Meters with screwdown crown.
Sapphire crystal with AR coating, 316L Stainless steel case and bezel.
Why I love this watch:
It's perfectly sized. It's a mechanical chronograph. It has the nearly perfectly formed 62Mas case. What's not to love?
Though I'm not against homages, this is the end result when San Martin puts their design caps on and tries to come up with something mostly original. I honestly hope this is the start of something new for them because it's a home run.
The grey dial is beautiful, the lume is fantastic, and I frankly don't think I've seen a strap that doesn't pair well with it.
The bezel is very beautifully clicky and is perfectly aligned (are you watching Seiko?).
Why I am selling this watch:
I have been on a long standing mission to find a dive or dive style watch that I genuinely want to keep for a super long time. I think I'm coming to the sadly belated conclusion that I'm just not a dive watch kind of guy. Clicky bezels just don't do a ton for me (but they could for you!).
As such, the watch has been worn perhaps 3 times (after which I joined the 1WC and have been a one watch guy since mid June).
I'd like for someone else to enjoy it.
Why you should buy this watch:
Do you like dive watches?
Do you like mechanical chronographs at very inexpensive prices?
Do you like excellent finishing, exceptional bracelets, and clasps?
Do you like strap monsters?
Then this is the guy for you.
And don't take my word for it. From community member @relativetime
What you get:
The watch comes with original packaging, box papers and all the original throw ins along with the warm and fuzzy feeling that you've made a difference in the world.
Also, I can guarantee that if you bid on this, I can get it to you faster than AliExpress could get you a completely new one (unless of course you happen to live in China).
Auction ends at 12pm Pacific Standard time on July 1st. Bidding starts at $50 which includes shipping anywhere in the world (except for...you know North Korea or Russia or other places Americans can't really ship to).
This account is verified. WatchCrunch has confirmed that this account is the authentic presence for this person or brand.

OMG!!! That dancing watermelon...
On the one hand, I'm incredibly pleased that someone has stepped up to take the prize away from Ichibunz. On the other hand, if he comes back to bid, I'm going to have to see that awful watermelon all over again.
Thank you! You're in the lead so far!

Oh well. Good purchase.

You'll never be able to compete with Deeper Blue. She'll drive the price to six figures before you have a chance.

Way too cool. Thank you for your generosity and willingness to do this. I may have to do the same here soon and challenge other watch geeks to do the same!
