The TAG brothers

These are my absolute grail watches (Well… the most obtainable grails). ive been obsessed with the TAG Heuer 2000 series since I was a kid in the 90s! I finally got the 1991 (gray dial) last year, and just picked up this 1998-2005 2000 classic in blue. I love me a good old Quartz diver 😃

It won’t let me paste the link but check Caliber 11’s “2000 series ultimate collectors guide“ it’s super informative!

Yes! So if I were you, I’d seek out a 90s model. The hardest thing is making sure it’s not a fake. I’m pretty good at spotting fakes, and before you buy, I’d suggest sending some pics my way or to the Facebook group. We can help you and give it a good look over. eBay has them for under $500 in decent shape, I wouldn’t spend any more than that. My 1991 gray dial was $400 and my 1999 blue dial was $350. Most of the time they will need a bezel click spring which is an easy replacement. a movement pic is always helpful, the quartz will have an eta 955.112 and the auto will have an eta 2824

Very nice, love the contrast in the bracelets....the left is the older style I suspect?  Very comfortable on the wrist.

Thank you! Yeah the one on the left is from the early 90s and the one on the right is from the early 2000s. it’s so interesting to see the evolution of what became the Aquaracer!
