Best watch under €1,500

What's the best watch for under €1,500?  Dress, field, diver etc doesn't really matter.

I'm looking for a new automatic watch between €1,000 and €1,500.  I have a Tissot PRC 200 and Hamilton Khaki Field both with the Powermatic 80 movement.  They are both sporty/field type watches.  I have not spent this amount on a watch before (and don't think I will again, unless I win the lotto) so I will not be buying on line.  I prefer a watch with a black or blue dial, pale coloured dials don't suit me.  I like the Longines Conquest but it is quite similar to my Tissot.  I also quite like the Longines Master Collection with the power reserve indicator and I'm hoping to try the Longines Record with a blue dial and Arabic numerals (I tried the silver dial one and quite like how it wears on my wrist).  I'm not really willing to pay any more than €1,500 if I can help it but welcome any recommendations a little over that price point.  I would prefer the next tier up from the likes of Tissot/Hamilton/Seiko etc.  Thanks

I have preference for independent brands, so I would probably go with Nomos or Oris.

There are several Nomos watches in that range and they come in a variety of sizes and colors.

If you don’t like the Nomos aesthetic, I think you could find an Oris in that range too (with a discount, which should be easy to track down). Given that you have a field watch, maybe an Aquis (39.5mm or 41.5mm) or a Divers Sixty-Five (38m or 40mm) or maybe one of their Rectangular watches, all of these models come in a variety of colors.

Thanks for that, will check them out.

Consider the Christopher Ward C65 Super Compressor

I’d make suggestions at the price, but there’s simply too many choices to propose without some kind of direction as to type of watch (e.g. diver, pilot, field, dress, etc.).  What do you wear most often.

What about Sinn 556? it’s also a strap monster! Case size 38.5mm.
