I just saw this Baume & Mercier Baumatic 5 day Chronomoter for under €1,300 in and AD. I have a few questions: 1) Does anyone have any experience with this watch. 2) Do you think it is worth buying a watch from this brand even if a good discount 3) Would you choose this or a similar priced Longines eg Longines Record which is also a chronometer. My worry is that it could be hard to service it in a few years as may be hard to get parts and not easy like it would be for an ETA based movement. Also Federico Talks W. posted a youtube video a couple of years ago saying he thinks the brand is dead. The watch looks much better in the videos and I think the dial is a bit more interesting than the Longines Record Collection. And I just saw that Teddy B published a video today about this model in the blue dial. Thanks.

That brand has been around for a while and from what I've seen they make a decent quality product. I could be wrong but I don't think you have much to worry about, especially if you like the watch. Just wear it and enjoy!

Thanks Surfer John
Baume and Mercier occupies similar spot to Tissot, Mido, Certina and Hamilton. Yeah, Richemont group don't do entry level swiss watch.
They start at entry level premium.
